Privacy policy
This page explains what happens to information about you when you visit allthingsmedicalbilling.com. It is short, because this site does very little with it.
The short version
This site sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no advertising network, and no tracking scripts. There are no accounts, no newsletter and no forms. Nothing you do here is recorded by us or linked to you.
Three things are worth knowing anyway: our host keeps standard server logs, a few pages load content from other companies, and if you email us we obviously have your email. Each is covered below.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify records ordinary request information — your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string — in order to serve the site, and to defend it against abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Content loaded from other companies
Some pages include material we do not host. When one of those pages loads, your browser contacts that company directly, which means it can see your IP address and the page you are on. We have kept this to a minimum and list every one of them:
| Provider | What it is | Where |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube | Embedded videos, served from youtube-nocookie.com so the player does not set advertising cookies unless you press play | 11 pages |
| Software Advice | Product screenshots on the software review pages, served from their image host | Software and EMR pages |
| PayScale | Salary charts on a small number of career pages | 3 pages |
Images from those providers are requested with a no-referrer
policy, so they are told which site you came from but not which page. What each
company then does with the request is governed by its own privacy policy, not
ours.
If you contact us
If you email or telephone us, we keep what you send for as long as it takes to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your details to anyone else.
Questions sent to us are often answered publicly on this site, because the answer usually helps more than one person. When that happens we publish the question and the reply, not your email address, and not your full name unless you ask us to. If you would rather your question stayed private, say so when you send it — and if something of yours is already published and you want it removed, tell us and we will take it down.
Buying the course
The Medical Billing Fundamentals course is sold and delivered by Thinkific, not by this site. When you follow an enrolment link you leave allthingsmedicalbilling.com, and everything after that — your account, your payment details, your progress through the course — is handled by Thinkific under their privacy policy and their terms. We never see your card details.
Links to other sites
This site links out a great deal, including to some links that earn us a commission. Those are explained on the advertising and affiliate disclosure page. Following any outbound link takes you somewhere with its own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Children
This site is written for adults considering or already working in medical billing. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. In our case the honest answer is usually that we hold nothing at all: we have no database, and no record of your visit beyond the host's server logs.
If you have emailed us, we hold that correspondence, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to info@all-things-medical-billing.com.
Changes
If we add anything that changes this — analytics, advertising, or a form — this page will be updated to say so before it goes live, and the date below will change.
