Terms of use
These terms cover your use of allthingsmedicalbilling.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
What this site is
This is an independent reference on medical billing and coding, written from experience running a billing business, together with a paid online course. It is not affiliated with any certification body, insurer, clearinghouse or software vendor, and nothing here is endorsed by them.
Nothing on this site is professional advice. Please read the disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
Using the material
The text, images and diagrams on this site are our copyright unless credited otherwise. You may read the site, print pages, and save copies for your own use or to teach from. You may quote a reasonable extract if you credit allthingsmedicalbilling.com and link to the page you took it from.
You may not republish substantial parts of the site elsewhere, sell it, use it to train a commercial model, or present it as your own work, without asking us first. We are usually happy to say yes — ask.
The downloadable forms are provided so that you can use them in a real billing office. Adapt them, fill them in and use them with your clients freely. Do not resell them or redistribute them as a product of your own.
Questions you send us
This site has always worked by publishing readers' questions and the answers to them, and most of the pages here started that way. If you send us a question or an account of your experience, you are giving us permission to publish it, edit it for length and clarity, and keep it on the site.
We publish the question, not your email address, and not your full name unless you ask us to. Do not send us patient information, protected health information, or anything else you are not free to share — remove names, dates of birth and member numbers before you write. If you want something you sent taken down, tell us and we will remove it.
The course
Medical Billing Fundamentals is sold and delivered through Thinkific. Your purchase is a contract with Thinkific as the platform and with us as the course author; payment, access, refunds and support are handled there under their terms. The price shown on this site is the price at the time of writing and can change.
The free trial exists so that you can see the material before paying. The course teaches how medical billing works. It is not a certification, it does not qualify you for any credential, and neither the course nor this site promises you a job, clients or any particular income.
Links to other sites
We link to other sites where they are useful. Some of those links earn us a commission, which is explained on the disclosure page. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for anything on a site we do not run — including its accuracy, its availability or its treatment of your data.
No warranty
This site is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and current, but billing rules, payer policies and code sets change constantly, and we do not promise that everything here is correct, complete or up to date. We do not promise the site will be available without interruption.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from relying on anything in it — including denied or rejected claims, lost revenue, penalties, or business losses. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us, if anything.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Alabama, United States, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes
We may revise these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date below tells you when it last changed. Questions about any of it can go to info@all-things-medical-billing.com.
